WHSMUN
WHSMUN is a training conference held each year that is run by the WHS Secretariat for Middle School and High School students.
WHSMUN is going to be held on November 11, 2017. WHSMUN Permission Form can be found here. Whether you are a new delegate or a returning delegate, WHSMUN is for you! Our annual training conference combines beginner skill development with more advanced crisis and delegate opportunities perfect for all ages and levels. WHSMUN is a one day training conference held at Williamston High School. The morning session is a learning experience; to develop and review basic parliamentary procedure, debate, and resolution writing skills, while the afternoon will be spent debating a current issue. |
What to know for WHSMUN
Training meetings will be held throughout the weeks leading up to the conference on Tuesdays for middle school students and Wednesdays for high school students. Please come to a meeting and/or discuss with a Secretariat member or adviser for more information!
- Everyone interested in trying MUN, or seasoned delegates are welcome.
- You will need to complete a research binder and position paper prior to the conference.
- To attend, delegates need to turn in a $35 fee as well as a permission slip, medical form, and Code of Conduct.
- Lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
- Delegates will receive a WHSMUN t-shirt, country lapel pin, pen, paper and other information sheets.
- You are required to dress up in Western business attire (guys- slacks, button up, tie, dress shoes, gals- dress or skirt/pants with a nice blouse or shirt, plus hosiery if you aren't wearing pants) .
